Preparation has now started for the Lincolnshire antiques and home show and Newark antiques fair.
For this reason I have to place a stop on ordering on the website on Thursday evening.
So only two days left to order so that I can get your parcels posted before I go away.

New items will start to be listed on 10th October at 7am.

Enjoy a day out at Lincolnshire Antiques and Home Show.

I thought I would show you where I will be on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday and why Rag Rescue website is closed for sales until my return home.

.........Enjoy!.........

All day we are entertained by the Red Arrows. Their base is next door to the showground so we see them training and watch the spectacular manoeuvres in the sky.
The shopping arcade outside the Epic Centre which is where Rag Rescue can be found - 2nd marquee on the left of the photo in front of the building.
Inside the Epic Centre.
Outside stalls
Something for everyone.
It is so tempting.
No need to go to France, buy French items at the fair.
Clothes by the tent full.
All colours, designs and era's.
Meet all nationalities, as they fly over from the four corners of the world to this event.
Be entertained!
But you will need stout walking shoes or boots, there are thousands of stalls.

I hope to see you there.

Preparations for the Lincoln Antiques and Home Show

As I'm not listing any new items this week,I thought I would show you an item each day that I will be taking with me to the International Antique fairs at Lincoln and Newark.

Today photo is of an Antique mahogany counter top set of drawers from an old Haberdashery shop. It was catalogued as made by 'Clarks' but I can find no indication of this unfortunately.

I'm sorry to have to do this again but I'm going to have to put a stop on orders as from midnight on Wednesday 2nd June until I return from the fairs. I've tried taking along my laptop and keeping the site open for orders but to be quite honest I found it really too time consuming what with trying to sell at the stall and buy at the fairs. So I'm afraid if you are thinking of ordering something on the site then please get your orders in before the stop is put on otherwise those lovely items might be sold at the fairs. Opening again on Monday 14th June.

Rag Rescue at the Lincolnshire Antiques and Home Show

Well it is the fairs time again. First stop the Lincolnshire Antiques and Home show at the Lincolnshire showground. I thought I'd show a photo of where you can find us. In the back of the photo is the brand new Epic Centre. In front you can see the shopping arcades which are full of the amazing items to buy. You will find Rag Rescue in the second marquee on the left of the this photo closest to the Epic Centre entrance.
Tuesday and Wednesday 1st and 2nd December

We then move on to the Newark International Antiques fair at Newark showground. Here we will be in the George Stephenson Pavilion at the far end, central aisle in front of the very large up and over doors.
Thursday and Friday 3rd and 4th of December.
We would love to see you there, please come along and introduce yourself.
Lots of vintage fabrics, trims and haberdashery plus many antiques.
LAST ORDERS TAKEN ON THE WEBSITE AT MIDNIGHT TONIGHT
Reasons for stopping website orders can be seen on THIS blog post.

LINCOLNSHIRE ANTIQUES AND HOME SHOW - WHERE TO FIND RAG RESCUE

There are two large buildings on the Lincolnshire showground, the Epic Centre which is new and the Exhibition Centre. Between them are two rows of shopping arcades. On this plan you will find me in Shopping arcade 2 the second one on the left close to the Epic Centre.
I hope you can come and visit us to see our array of vintage fabrics and trims and antique items.
6th /7th October.

Don't forget that today is the last day for fast postage of orders. All orders placed after midnight tonight will be be wrapped on my return and posted on October 12th.
If you see something you like on the site whilst I am away, then secure it by placing an order then it won't get snapped up at the fairs.
You can always pay when I return by selecting 'bank transfer' or 'cheque' when at the checkout and I will send a paypal payment request to you on my return.

The RAG RESCUE site will remain open

Now I'm off to continue packing and attack the mountains of ironing, 9 days is a long time to be away especially when you don't know what the weather is going to be like.

VINTAGE FABRIC WEEK - DAY 4

Yes, the last day of listing this week. It has been very hectic with orders coming in fast and furious, thank you to everyone.

Next Monday I shall start the LACE week as I have a large amount of lace piled up just waiting to be recycled.

Over the past ten years we have been exhibiting at the Arthur Swallow Fairs at Swinderby showground. The owners of the ground have decided to remove the underlying gravel on the site very shortly. For this reason the Swinderby Home and Antique show is moving to the Lincoln showground just up the road.
The IACF owners have decided to jump in and hold a fair on the old Swinderby site at the same time as the Arthur Swallow Lincoln fair.
Please do not be confused by this and think that it is the same organisation running it.

PLEASE SUPPORT THE LINCOLNSHIRE ANTIQUES AND HOME SHOW

RAG RESCUE WILL BE THERE
