More sale priced antique and vintage textiles added this week..

I hope you have had an enjoyable week. Mine has been pretty painful what with a tooth extraction and visits to the physio twice a week or rather the torture chamber. Still I've still managed to list 36 new items onto the website this week. I daren't tell my physio as I had strict instructions not to use the computer, as if..... I'm just doing more exercises and popping more painkillers. Anyway enough of me.
I've listed some lovely items below all with a 50% off the normal price. You can see a list below but I would like to tell you that some of the French vintage fabrics are much larger sizes than normal but well below the 50% off price tag.
You will find the following -
A Regency reticule silk bag,
2 embroidered shawls/stoles/scarves,
An antique chinese embroidery,
A stash bag of flower corsages,
More broderie anglais lace,
Vintage scrappy packs,
Vintage fabric strip rolls,
10 x packs of 6" squares
and
some wonderful vintage fabrics.
You can find them all HERE by clicking on the link.

Beautiful vintage fabric from a soggy Saturday in Morecambe

The rain is pouring down here in Morecambe so I think I'll stay inside today and sort out my stock room ready for the next batch of goodies to arrive.

Today I have listed more wonderful vintage fabrics.

Sorry all sold now.

Colourful French antique fabric late 19th century - Jan 28

I just love the design and colours on this wonderful fabric. The colours have gently faded so that they aren't harsh any more.

Think seriously about recycling vintage fabrics.

I've been thinking about the word 'recycle' a lot lately with regard to textiles. So many old textiles are STILL being thrown away instead of being reused. People are still buying modern fabrics when there are plenty of antique and vintage fabric crying out to be recovered. So today I want you to think about how you could reprocess and remodel the wonderful array of vintage fabrics in your craft work. Here is an example of how a lampshade could be made with strips of vintage fabric. Why not send me photo's of your recreations so that we can encourage others to do the same.

Before you buy new fabric STOP and think
Recycle
reuse
redesign
re-evaluate
re-sew
reduce
recover
reprocess
reclaim
remodel
rescue
restore
regenerate
re-model
