Vintage 1950's smocking pieces at Rag Rescue

I have just bought over 50 pieces of embroidered smocking from the 1950's and almost the same amount of prepared smocking ready for embroidery work to be embarked upon.

The smocking came from a house clearance where the lady created children's clothes for 'Liberty'.

Let your imagination run wild with what you could use them for. They are far to good to be thrown away so they need to be re-cycled.
I have turned two pieces into birds to add to a felted wall hanging for my granddaughter. When it is complete I'll show you on this blog.

All these pieces of smocking will be listed tomorrow on the Rag Rescue website

VINTAGE FABRIC - PICK OF THE DAY no.2

Unused vintage Liberty fabric with roses.

This is superb unused old Liberty fabric. It still has the dressing in so I haven't washed it in case you want to use it in its stiffened state. If washed it will be beautifully soft.

NOW REDUCED IN PRICE

You will find it here on the Rag Rescue website
