I acquired an old patchwork quilt which although large was very damaged.
As the designs were superb and very old we decided to unpick the quilt
and save the good pieces.
The majority of the fabrics used in the quilt were Victorian but some
were early 20th century. I think the quilt was made in the early 20th
century using a mix of what was then old fabric and new ones.
I have washed all of the fabrics and bagged them up into stashbags
containing 6 patches. These can be used for your sewing projects or
retained as examples of designs from long ago.
