Vintage fabric scrapbags at Rag Rescue website today.

Each scrapbag contains a selection of four beautiful cotton English and French vintage fabric prints.
These vintage fabrics are beautifully shabby chic a slight fading which only time brings.

Each piece in these larger scrap bags measures approx. 18cms x 12 cms.
There are four different designs

The scrap bags are ideal for crazy quilting, applique work, card making, fabric postcards, ATC's, for use with the embellisher machine and all kinds of fiber art.

Vintage fabric scrappy parcels today at Rag Rescue

Four more scrappy parcels will be added to the website today.
The photo's on the right show the content of each parcel.

Now here's an idea for using scraps and if you go to the link you will see a tutorial.

I'm off into Lancaster this morning, another hospital visit for mum. If the weather is fine we'll come back the scenic route so must remember to take my camera.

Rag Rescue's unique vintage fabric scrappy parcels

When I am cutting out vintage fabric pieces for the scrap bags and squares, I always have some good pieces left over. There is nothing wrong with these pieces but they are too small for the sizes I use. I have therefore decided to sell these as 'scrappy parcels'.

There are twenty pieces of vintage fabric in a scrappy parcel. They are all different shapes and sizes but at least one side is less than four inches.

Ideal for crazy patchwork, cards, journals, trade cards, postcards, memory pieces, buttons jewellery and any other crafts you can think for using small scraps of fabric.

Vintage Easter at Rag Rescue

Three lovely old Easter cards with special verses not often seen these days.
There is also a lovely vintage egg cosy featuring flowers with little faces. I know that one of my customers was after these cosies a while ago but I have lost her email so perhaps she will see this blog post.
Talking of egg cosies I had a lovely email from a customer today who sent me this wonderful picture of two egg cosies she has made using felt and scraps of vintage fabric. Alix uses very tiny pieces in her work and I am sure you will agree with me that she must have a lot of patience to sew these small pieces on to her work.
Aren't they just divine?

Alix also sent me some more photo's of her work but they deserve a post all of their own.

Vintage fabric scrapbag Tuesday

OOps! I forgot to post these. Not very good photos on here I'm afraid. I'm using a mosaic maker and the scrapbags photo's I've taken seem to be chopped off. I suppose it is because the scrapbags are long and the mosaics are square. Still as it is 6.20 am only 40mins until they are listed on the website
Now I must go and travel a way to view an auction.
