More vintage fabric squares tomorrow

All at Rag Rescue website

We have bought so many antiques for the fairs at the beginning of April that I am going to sort out my older boxes and leave some behind as we won't have space to show everything. I'm hoping to do this at the weekend and put some vintage goods on the site next week. I am sure that I have lots of lovely items that will wet your appetite.

Vintage fabric squares on Wednesday

I've just cut out some new designs of vintage fabric squares this morning, which will be listed tomorrow (Wednesday). I thought I've got to keep you fabricaholics busy. After all you may want to make a quick card for your loved one for that special day on Sunday or you may be busy on the next task of Mothers day or even Easter crafts.
There will be more next week so don't worry if you can't find any you like.

Brighten up your mood with flowers

Pile up the squares.
More squares listed tomorrow morning at 7am GMT

I love flowers even more so now that my garden is so small. I try to plant as many as I can and fill the house with the sweet smelling flowers of the season.
Even though the weather is warm for the time of year we still know that just around the corner the cold Winter looms.
One way to cheer up the home in Winter is not only to fill it with blooms but also to create home accessories with flower patterns that remind us of warmer days.
I've been thinking about flowers rather a lot lately, probably because most of the fabrics I buy are floral. It has let me into looking up quotes that are about flowers and I've decided that I will close each blog I write with a 'flower or fabric' related quote to cheer everyone up this Autumn and coming Winter.

“Love is a fabric which never fades, no matter how often it is washed in the water of adversity and grief.”

VINTAGE FABRIC SQUARES

Tomorrows listings of wonderful vintage fabric squares.

I've spent all day at the auction today. Unfortunately there wasn't any vintage fabrics or trims but I did manage to buy a huge amount of watercolours and oil paintings.
The sun has finally put its hat on and come out to play this afternoon. We had a horrendous journey through the lake district mountains this morning with torrential rain on the motorway. On returning home the clouds cleared and there was a wonderful blue sky over Morecambe Bay. I think all of the holiday makers from the Lake district had seen the skies over the bay and decided to head to our lovely town as we had to queue to get in, something unheard of mid-week.
I must say that Morecambe is no longer a run down seaside town. Millions have been spent on restoring the town and relaying beaches so the tourist now come pouring in each week.

VINTAGE FABRIC FLORALS

Brrrrrrrrr!! it's been cold today, the wind seems to blow straight through you.
I cheered myself up by sorting through some more vintage fabric and found some lovely odd pieces with summery flowers on. The steam from the iron kept me warm and by the time I had cut out all of the squares I felt much more cheerful and warmer.
I cut a lot of squares out far more than I wanted to list today but they will be coming in the following days as I've extended my 'new listings' now until next Wednesday.

I've also added some ribbons, a very useful vintage hemmer clip for turning up your newly made skirts, dresses and jeans - really useful, another lovely silky rose and a great mother of pearl handled crochet hook.
All being listed on
RAG RESCUE website
tomorrow at 7am BST.

Have you seen the new SEW HIP magazine?
I'm really pleased with the article they have written about the RAG RESCUE WEBSITE.

VINTAGE FABRIC SQUARES

I feel very refreshed today as I had a lovely walk along the promenade in the sunshine. There was a cool wind blowing but it didn't seem to matter as the view of the Lake District mountains across the bay and the incoming tide with the numerous birds feeding hungrily was so enjoyable.

I've been busy replenishing the stock of vintage fabric squares for the website. The squares have been so popular over the past few weeks. I am also going to try to make some different scrapbags this week as they too have been very popular.
I have so much more time on my hands now that the website is fully automated and I am able to get out more and search for lovely items for you.
It is the fairs again at the beginning of June so I have decided to continue listing until the middle of next week. I am hoping that on my return there will be a new feature available enabling you to place items in a wish list alongside your cart. This is under construction at the moment, so watch this space.
