Vintage fabric squares

Tomorrow the above vintage squares will be listed on the Rag Rescue website. There will be lots more to follow in the coming weeks as today I have taken photographs of 55 more vintage fabric squares and 53 pieces of vintage fabric. Now I have the tedious task of measuring all of the fabric pieces and counting all the squares.

Vintage fabric for small projects

Have you ever seen a piece of fabric that you love the design but thought that you only need a small piece of it and it is sold in metres? Then look no further. At the Rag Rescue website you will find pieces of vintage fabric for small projects. Tomorrow for example there are two more scrappy parcels being listed which have 20 different pieces of fabric all with different designs plus two small pieces of lovely rosy fabrics. Why buy a large piece of fabric when you only need something small.

Victorian fabric from an old quilt

Four pieces of Victorian fabric from an old quilt. The wonderful fabric on the bottom row, right, I have a lot of, as this was the main quilt. As it is badly damaged I am having to pick out the best pieces that are perfect. If you find you would like some of this fabric but it has been sold  on the website, then please contact me as I will gladly have a look and try to get you a piece.

These patterns are very rare and not to be repeated so when they are gone, they are gone.

All at the website tomorrow

Antique lace making items

These items will be on the website today.

Vintage fabric at Rag Rescue tomorrow

More lovely vintage fabrics tomorrow at the Rag Rescue website

I think I said a few posts back that my mother has come to live with us. It has taken her a few months to adapt to living in a totally different area. I think she has relaxed into our style of life which is very different to the one she left behind. The next stage is for us to adapt to having her live with us. It is mainly me who has to adapt in terms of organising my days in a totally different way. There seems at the moment to be so many doctor and hospital visits planned that I have found myself working into the small wee hours in order to keep the business going and giving my customers the same degree of service that they are used to. All of this has inevitably taken it's toll on me, so things have to change. Of course the business can't suffer and neither can I nor my mother but I've come up with a plan so hopefully the service that you receive will be exactly the same but I will feel much more awake and far less stressed hopefully.
