Buckled up Thursday.

Wonderful vintage buckles can be used not only for belts but for a whole lot of craft ideas.
Add them to some vintage fabric covered circles and use as napkin holders, you will be the envy of your friends. Place some vintage fabric around a flower vase or plant pot and put some velvet or silk vintage ribbon around the centre with a vintage buckle in the centre. The ideas are endless.

Antique and vintage Chinese embroideries and Victorian fabric patches at the Rag Rescue website.

Yesterday the above Chinese embroidery pieces were listed on the website. They are ideal to adding as embellishments to pictures, bags, cushions and any of your sewing projects. You can either use the shape as it is or snip out the actual flowers and sew around them creating a unique piece of work. They are not expensive.

Today I've listed some more Victorian fabric patches from an old damaged quilt. The designs are just wonderful and can be used in so many ways. As they are Victorian, designers can use them for creating their owen designs based on these very old ones.

1920's lace and ribbon boudoir lampshades and Victorian photo insert frames.

The most superb 1920's lampshades, I was so thrilled to find them. The whole lampshade is covered in cream silk on top of which pleated lace has been placed. The pink silk ribbon just adds that special touch. These are ideal for boudoir side lights.

Vintage needlecases and Antuqye bead strings

I thought I'd list something a little different today. there are two lovely vintage needlecases that were obviously made by the same person. lovely designs and colours. There is a little flap inside which would have held either threads and/or needle packets.
the Antique strings of beads are bugle beads, one string in blue and the other in a burgundy colour. There are lots of beads as the strings are very long even though the photo doesn't show it.
