Yesterday was a very disappointing day for Rag Rescue. In all of my 17 years of trading I have always tried to sell the best items I could find at the right price and give the best service. My customers at fairs were always polite and apart from a few people found stealing we had no problems.
Up to this point, all of my customers buying from Rag Rescue have been a pleasure to sell to, wonderful people who appreciate all the hard work that goes into creating and maintaining a busy website. you only have to look at the wonderful feedback from my customers to see how their buying experience has been a pleasure.
However, a month ago I was suspicious of a customer which I must admit is not like me, things didn't seem quite right. I talked to a few of my dealer friends and they thought I should be cautious. A lady ordered large amounts of fabric and didn't pay for it. This lady has an address in the Al Hamra Marina, Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates but wants items sent to South Korea. She created an account with Rag Rescue with one name but emailed with a different one, ordered but said that Paypal would not take her credit card. She asked to send a bank transfer which bounced back to her. I made the mistake of not cancelling her account and she ordered a large amount again a month later. This time I asked for paypal payment only, but wanted confirmation that she would pay. After not hearing from her for over 24 hours I cancelled her account and emailed an explanation. I got a very nasty threatening email back from her.
Those of you that know me will know how upset I am about this. However I am only telling this story to make other vintage fabric dealers aware of this lady.
