Tomorrow sees the start of vintage fabric week at Rag Rescue

These four vintage fabrics will be listed tomorrow morning at the Rag Rescue website

My apologies for any delay in emails this past week. My daughter has been moving house and I have either spent most days packing boxes or looking after her two children. It was only today that I didn't get the post off as my husband was moving furniture etc all day. I've just got to clean through the old house for her next week but we should be back to normal, whatever that is. thank you for being patient.

Antique quilt pieces and vintage motifs

At the Rag Rescue website tomorrow.

Those of you that know me will know that my son and his partner are travelling around the world for a year. At the moment they are in New Zealand. I am glad to tell everyone that they are safe and sound as they have moved on to the North Island. They left Christchurch just two weeks ago. I spoke to Emma on facebook this morning and they are both fine but like all of us they are very sad that this earthquake has left so many people dead and injured.

Vintage 1950's smocking pieces at Rag Rescue

I have just bought over 50 pieces of embroidered smocking from the 1950's and almost the same amount of prepared smocking ready for embroidery work to be embarked upon.

The smocking came from a house clearance where the lady created children's clothes for 'Liberty'.

Let your imagination run wild with what you could use them for. They are far to good to be thrown away so they need to be re-cycled.
I have turned two pieces into birds to add to a felted wall hanging for my granddaughter. When it is complete I'll show you on this blog.

All these pieces of smocking will be listed tomorrow on the Rag Rescue website

SALE WEEK AND 10% DISCOUNT WEEK AT RAG RESCUE

I must own up to it, last week the flu beat me and put me in bed for a couple of days.I don't normally give in to illnesses. When I had my gall bladder out a few years ago I was back on my feet and standing at the international fairs for a week, only 7 days after the operation. As soon as I came home I started packing boxes etc and didn't dream of staying in bed.
However the flu saw me tucked up in bed by 10.30am after sorting out orders, last week. there was no way I could have sorted out stock for new listing next week, I am sorry. I like to keep a flow going every day, but try as I might the energy was not forthcoming.

I had been thinking for a while now that I ought to have another discount week at Rag Rescue and this coming week seems most appropriate.
From Sunday 13th February at 7am until midnight on Saturday  19th February there will be
a 10% discount on all items on the site.
This will be given as a refund if payment is made by paypal or included in your final price if payment is made by cheque or by Bank Transfer.

As I am not exhibiting at the fairs any longer I've also decided to reduce some items considerably.
There will be two items listed every day next week at a good SALE price.

These are tomorrow's bargains -

Being re-listed at the Rag Rescue website tomorrow at 7am

1950's floral fabric tomorrow at Rag Rescue

Another wet miserable day here in Morecambe but at least the wind has dropped. I thought I would cheer us all up by listing some very pretty 1950s nylon fabrics tomorrow. I don't normally buy nylon fabric but these three floral ones have such delightful designs. I think if lined these would make wonderful boudoir cushions, just in time for Valentines day.

They will be listed tomorrow at 7am

This weeks final day of antique lace
